Mangrove Cay - Andros, Middle and South Bights - Let's face it, it's no secret to anglers that the most important element of any fishing trip is fishing with the best guides. As author's of The Bahamas Fly-Fishing Guide, we've been working with the top Bahamian guides for over 30 years, and our guide friends on Mangrove Cay are an amazing professional group. From Captain Marvin Miller, to Captain Shine Green, Captain Elvis, Captain Dencil and others, you can be assured of a special fly fishing experience on the magical flats of Andros. The Delphi Club - Abaco, Rolling Harbour - A luxury bonefishing lodge/hotel on the Atlantic coast, south of Winding Bay, with stunning views of the beach and the ocean. Designed in the style of an 18th century colonial plantation house, the 8 bedroom lodge sits high on a bluff above the beach. Reservations are normally Saturday to Saturday. Anglers can book guides to fish the Marls and other areas, plus there is fishing you can do on your own if you have a rental car. Non-anglers will be equally entertained in comfortable style with amenities from a swimming pool and spa treatments, to island tours, snorkeling, diving, and other activities. The restaurant (and chef) are excellent, with dining on the fancy side, and the bar is well-stocked. Crooked Island, Landrail Point - Elton McKinney continues to lead a great group of independent guides that focus on bonefish, tarpon and permit along with other flats species like sharks, barracuda, snapper and more. Elton and crew are very excited about the improvement in permit fishing over the past couple of years. The guides have devoted a lot of time to understanding the permit fishery, and with a lot of success, and some of the permit are huge! Elton, Jeff, Randy and crew are popular so to secure these guys you need to be in touch well in advance. Accommodations and meals at either Crooked Island Lodge or Casuarina Pines Villas.
